About Bryan McDowall
I'm a Product Designer from Scotland, living in Tokyo
For over 15 years I've been crafting digital products and building experiences that users love.
Background
I’m currently leading design efforts at Bodygram — empowering businesses through their customers' measurement data.
My journey into design wasn’t a linear path. A lifelong interest in illustration and technology led to studying animation, followed by a period as a self-taught web developer and designer, before I eventually discovered product design - a role which plays to my strengths and varied experience.
In the past I’ve been lucky enough to specialise in emerging technologies, such as responsive web design and design systems. I’ve worked at every stage of the product lifecycle, and led numerous initiatives. After moving to Japan last year, I'm discovering completely new perspectives in both design and in business.
I'm developing my leadership skills, to support teams and build better processes. I’m excited by emerging technologies, using them to push boundaries, and to solve new challenges.
